Along with the Pit Bulls and Great Dane we share our lives with quite a few other critters out there

Rescued and Pet Dogs

We have three ferrets, all females.  Our first purchased ferret was MooShoo, an albino named by Andy’s son Kai, after the dragon on Mulan.  We fell in love with her right away since she had already been in a home and was taught all the necessary lessons against biting and whatnot.  She’s a VERY Sweet girl,  her favorite thing to do is drag whatever she can reach into the ferret penthouse.

Baby and Momma were purchased from a co-worker who needed to find them a new home due to living arrangements.  Mamma was a ferret found by my co-worder’s roommate in her driveway, and is now living the lap of luxury instead of running the streets. Baby is our smallest and probably youngest ferrets.  Sweet white girl with dark eyes so she’s not an albino.  She’s the smallest of the ferrets, in fact I’ve never seen a full grown ferret as small as her.  We figure that baby is the youngest of the group, most definitely the most wild of the three.  Mamma is probably the oldest of the ferrets…she’s our resident thief as well, her favorite activity is finding items she can steel away and hide in the closet.

They all reside in my sewing and computer room in two cages connected with one another by a long tube to create a large penthouse type home for them.   They usually spend time out of their cage when I’m playing online or even sewing or knitting.  They love knocking over the trash can and getting into old knitting items and a basket of waste material I keep just for them to rummage through on outings.

Aside from the Ferrets and horses and dogs we have a few reptiles as well.  Mostly fancy corn snakes and king snakes.  We do have a 7’ long Red Tail boa, my husband’s “Buddy”.  Corn snakes are GREAT pets and so docile I’ve been happy to have a few at the house to play with and expose some of the kids in the area too.    That’s about it for our “other” critters.  I hope you’ve enjoyed the page of the mishmash of pets.  We love them all greatly and are happy to have so many to enrich our lives with.
